No one expects sleep will be easy…

Why SLEEP can be so tricky to solve…
Most parents with wakeful babies wonder if they’re to blame.
Spoiler alert: It’s definitely NOT your fault.
It’s NOT your fault your baby is more wakeful than others. And it’s not your fault that you haven’t cracked the code to better sleep.
The truth is, baby sleep is a total minefield.
The ‘babyverse’ is flooded with MISINFORMATION.
Parents are constantly bombarded with opinion-based ideas, cultural beliefs, old wives’ tales, and one-size-fits-all sleep advice.
Some are relics from the past (like ‘sleep begets sleep’, ‘sleep associations’ and ‘self-settling’). Others are more recent concepts that have spread like wildfire on socials (looking at you, ‘wake windows’ and ‘overtiredness’!).
Unfortunately, none are backed by solid evidence. They don’t align with what’s biologically normal for babies. And most have actually been disproven by science.
But they’re still out there, presented to parents as ‘facts’, usually by well-meaning friends, family, or ‘experts’ who just aren’t up-to-date with the latest research in sleep science, neuroscience, or child development.
This misinformation is a HUGE problem.
Not only does it cause parents a lot of stress and frustration, sometimes it can even cause sleep problems, especially if your baby doesn’t fit the mold.
Quality, evidence-based information and effective strategies are out there, but they’re buried under mountains of misinformation.
Finding the ‘jewels’ in the junk is nearly impossible.
And so most parents end up riding the sleep struggle bus. Muddling through the days and stressing about sleep, instead of truly enjoying time with their little one. Time they can never get back 😔

Hey, I’m Georgina!
And I’m here for pretty similar reasons to you… except I’m now at the other end of the tunnel (where the light is!).
I totally get what it’s like to stress about sleep and muddle through the days, wishing for a ‘fast-forward’ button to skip ahead to easier times.
My first year with my little one was really tough when it came to sleep and settling. He was very colicky and unsettled as a newborn, and even as the months passed, he was always more wakeful—sometimes a lot more wakeful—than other babies.
The constant barrage of sleep advice (and encouragement to sleep train) made it even harder. I often found myself going down rabbit holes trying to figure out the root of his wakefulness. And I would worry whether he was ‘normal’ or not. Even though I felt like there had to be answers out there, I struggled to find them in any of the obvious places.
Being a bit of a science nut, I started deep diving into the research to make sense of it all and hopefully find ways to improve his sleep at the same time.
